Smith & Shaw Home Inspection is an independent Iowa based business, owned and operated by Tom Smith & Kyle Smith. Smith & Shaw offers service throughout all of Eastern Iowa, with offices in Iowa City and Clinton.
Each member of the Smith & Shaw team is highly trained and brings unique talent to the home inspection field. Tom Smith has been an active participant in the construction and trades industry for 35+ years. His technical expertise is second to none. Kyle Smith, Tom’s son, has come to know the construction industry through his father’s training and advice. Kyle has received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and is currently working toward a Masters of Science in Urban and Regional Planning, also at the University of Iowa.
Each Smith & Shaw inspector has completed a rigorous and comprehensive training program at the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT) in Milwaukee, WI.
